The 113-metre tower has been designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects, and will include terrace houses, an amphitheatre, boutique office space, a wellness centre, laneway stores and a library.
The three-stage development on the corner of Cameron Avenue, Eastern Valley Way and Emu Bank, will eventually comprise 1213 apartments, an Abode Hotel, retail centre and more than 500 car parking spaces in addition to residents’ parking.
The first stage of the development is already 70 per cent sold out with the sales campaign for the second stage due to start next month.
Last year Grocon bought the Garema Centre mall in Canberra's CBD for $13.35 million, intending to develop a $100 million luxury hotel.
Construction on the tower, on the 1.6-hectare site, will commence immediately.
